Job Summary:
The Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Manager is responsible for overseeing the Repair and Maintenance Department. This role involves strategic planning and execution of preventative maintenance programs, ensuring the smooth operation of company properties, equipment, and the R&M team. The R&M Manager will focus on enhancing department effectiveness, driving cost savings, and ensuring high standards of safety and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the R&M team, providing guidance and support for effective performance.
- Develop and implement long-term strategic capital plans for equipment replacement and productivity improvements.
- Oversee the department’s budget, including capital project estimates and payroll management.
- Coordinate with other departments to minimize operational interruptions due to equipment breakdowns.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain high standards of upkeep and maintenance across all company properties.
- Develop and manage contingency plans for emergency maintenance scenarios.
- Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the department.
- Evaluate and enhance departmental processes to achieve cost savings and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives.

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Facilities & Maintenance Management or a technical and vocational degree in a relevant field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in facilities management or a related field, with a proven track record in a senior management role.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial aspects of maintenance projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
